No PYLC in 2011

PYLC will not be held in 2011. We will be working with Matt A Malcolm who has joined CCOWA again with the commission to work on PYLC to make it more sustainable for the future.

We are working towards holding PYLC in 2012 maintaining the quality of Biblical teaching and applying it to growing youth leaders for God's church.

PWC 2010 Report

The seventh Perth Women’s Convention was held on Saturday 14th August, 2010 at Swan Christian College. Over 500 women from more than 100 churches joined together to sing, pray and hear from God’s word as Judith Nicholls taught us from the Psalms. It was a really encouraging and sobering topic, as we heard more of who God is, and what he has done for us, and what our response should be. Judith spoke honestly and clearly, with her trademark dry wit, and didn’t hold back from applying God’s word to us and to herself.

We talked together over some particularly delicious food, and met up with old friends, and made new friends. Lesley Palmer and Kerry-Ann Newill shared some of their experiences of life and ministry in South Africa, and explored the complex and difficult nature of the challenge faced by churches and Christians there. They also shared with us their experiences of becoming immigrants, and encouraged us to love the immigrants in our midst.

If you missed out this year, then come next year! PWC 2011 will be on August 13th at Swan Christian College. Our speaker will be Jenny Salt (she spoke at PWC in 2006) on the topic “A Foot in Two Worlds”, 3 talks from 1 Peter.
